Hi @bettejoy ,

Go to your mobile phone service provider’s website and look for how to change the ring time.

Alternatively just search online for how to change the ring time (insert service provider’s name)

Each service provider has a different code number (or other options such as you can alter it in your phone account manager page or contact them directly etc), that you can enter from your phone to extend the ring time. Usually it is in 5 second increments up to 30 seconds, but it may vary between providers.

Thanks for posting this, as I too was frustrated with the short ring time. Hopefully mine is fixed after doing this sequence.

Hi @Francois Nel

You should first check the status of call forwarding by dialing *#61# from your phone

the status will give you the voicemail number that you are being forwarded too. Use this number to setup the revised forward with longer wait time

So for vodacom the voicemail number should be 278214

Use the following format to increase the ring time

*61*[voice mail number]*11*[wait time in seconds - 5 second increments e.g. 15, 20, 25, 30 (30 is maximum)]#

Dial *61*278214[insert your phone number]*11*25# to forward your calls after 25 seconds to your voicemail. If you want it to ring for 30 seconds, type 30 instead of 25

@Francois Nel

Contact your service provider and ask them how to extend the time

Using the keypad on your mobile phone, dial the following sequence: **61*121**11* (number of seconds: 15,20,25 or 30). Example: To extend the ring time to 30 seconds, dial: **61*121**11*30. 3.

Regards,

Will
