Wireless keeps turning off

Ive had this computer a little over a year and have always had wireless connectivity issues. It turns off by itself and wont turn back on unless you restart the computer. It seems to be a known Apple issue. I've tried everything there is to try on the Apple forum. And I would like to replace the wireless card. My problem is I cant seem to find a card or instructions on how to install it. It looks like its located in the LCD. How do you take the LCD apart with out damaging it? And where can I find a wireless/bluetooth card for this. Cant find any on ebay.

I found a couple of vendors now on eBay if you still need one. I paid $5.88 delivered and it's fast. I followed the steps now here on this site and it works well except now I have to resolve the issue of it turning off. How did you finally fix that issue? http://www.ebay.com/itm/231513354723 is the link to the cards. Jim

Does the wireless not work, or it won't connect? If that it's a known Snow Leopard issue with some routers (you probably have 192.168.x.x for your IP). Just try and make a new Location with your settings, and don't leave it at "Automatic".

Great answer, that resolved my connectivity issue one time and haven't had problems since.

Once you set your home network to "HOME" or whatever you want to call it, it sems that this issue is resolved and you would be able to connect to other networks with no problems.

Is the laptop still under warranty? If it is, then take it to Apple and see if they can replace/fix it. Otherwise follow machead3's advice and follow the guide. Unfortunately, I do not know of any companies that are selling wireless cards for your laptop.
