Have you tried removing the battery and putting it back in? Sometimes an smc reset will fix this issue, otherwise you may need a battery replacement.

I've done it many times and I have 3 batterys and nothing works... seeing that if I unplug the power cable and it stays on i believe its not the battery or the pc in any way I think its just something thats not allowing it to be detected..

What does your onboard battery tester tell you about the charge status of each battery are all the LEDs lit?

I would download this gem of an app: CoconutBattery. It will give you a deeper view of your batteries as well as your systems charging logic and even the power adapter.

Here’s a useful reference on battery life time (cycles): '''Determine battery cycle count for Mac notebooks''' As you can see Your MacBook’s battery life is quite low (300~500 cycles) you may need a new battery.

Lastly, you may want to review this useful Apple T/N: '''About Mac notebook batteries.'''

@pig reinstall your OS if this error started with your installation of Windows. It is easily possible that you have corrupted the software. Of course you also want to try a SMC/PRAM reset to see if that changes anything.

I've done this a few times already and nothing...

@pig so you formatted your drive cleaned it up and reinstalled your OS and no change?

- de

Yes no change.. I just think its someone I need to install or something.. because if I plug it in and turn it on I can unplug it and it stays on but once it turns off I need the power cable again... I believe its not the battery seeing i have 3 and it does the same thing and not the PC because if it was it wouldn't keep it on with the battery once unplugged
