Connecting to a device

Hi I just bought a Samsung galaxy Tablet A as a 16th birthday present to draw with. And I want to connect my iPhone SE to it. So when I go to the tablet to Bluetooth it connects to the iphone but then when I connect with my iPhone it won’t hold the connection at all. On the tablet it says it’s connected and gives me a WiFi access but then it denies it when I turn it on. I tried my friends phone who are Samsung users and some iPhone users. But it won’t allow it for some reason. I had called about the tablet and they said it just because of the device I have and tried many apps to connect. And I don’t have personal hotspot
