Not powering on anymore?

So, my Screen got crushed, I ended up replacing it and after figuring out that the driver from the aftermarket screen was not working, the place sent me a new one, at that time I had let the battery died on me. Well, I ended up ripping the flex cables so I had to order a new one before I installed the glass. I installed it, and a new battery, it will not turn on after keeping it into the wall. Any idea's, and how would I test it with a multimeter?

Hello wmidgett85,

There could be multiple issues with this. For one, it could be the screen and battery. I do not know where you got your screen, but you get what you pay for. I would recommend buying a battery and screen from iFixit or Fixez for the highest quality parts. Second, how was it crushed? When you say crushed I believe you mean crushed by a car, meaning it wouldn't be fixable. Was it just a drop? Or how was it crushed? Third, hold the home button and power button for about 10 seconds then let go. It should pull up an Apple logo meaning it just needed restarting. Lastly, if nothing else works, plug it into a computer and see if iTunes recognizes it. If iTunes recognizes it, then it is most likely the screen.

Sadly, I do not know how to use a multimeter when it comes to checking the battery and or logic board to see what is wrong, but I gave you everything else I know above.

Thank you, I don't know why I didn't think of hooking it up to the powersupply. And I got it from one of my vendors, www.injuredgadgets.com so I know it is legit.

It was dropped, not crushed - Sorry about that. But, I did try the home and power button with no luck.
