The adjustable band on the right ride of my beats won’t slide back up

Block Image

The adjustable band on the right side of my Beats solo3 wireless headphones won’t slide back up. It seems to have overextended and could be caught on something? The audio and Bluetooth connection still works perfectly, just can’t get the side to slide back into place. Any ideas on what I can do to fix it??

I had the same issue the only thing different is that mine was on the left side.

Get a pry tool to get under the out side cover of the headphones.

I don’t how it is set up on the right side, but if you doing the left side be careful of the wires since all the cables for the buttons are there.

I recommend to start prying up in the round part, since the band part is thinner and it might break easily since is not loose yet.

Once you open it, place the metal slide back into the track and snap everything back into place. Make sure you don’t have the headphones extended when you putting the outside cover back into place

Can you send me a video on how you did yours because I’d rather not break mine please

- de

My problem is it won’t completely snap back together

I’m afraid if I try it won’t snap back together. Not even sure how it happened. Mine is on Bluetooth charger side.

Do not! I repeat! Do NOT try to pry open the panels on these headphones like the video says! I tried and cracked mine (tiny hairline crack but still). Just squeeze both sides of the bottom where you overextended (the part they want you to pry open) and then while squeezing push the headphone back in.

Then how do I fix it please help me

- de

This worked!!!! Thank you so much!

Can you go further in depth or make a video on where to push? What do you mean by “ both sides of the bottom where you overextended (the part they want you to pry open)”??

- de

@andrew07 hello can you maybe explain how you fixed it?

- de

-Hey anyone reading this in the future!!- the part you need to squeeze is the part where the beats logo is (it’s separate from the actual soft headphone part and it’s where your battery dots are/would be on the opposite side)! SQUEEZE down that ENTIRE part of the beats with your right hand and hold the headphones with your left hand, simultaneously pushing in the headphone with your right hand HARD. Try to make sure it’s a straightforward motion so nothing breaks (just like you would adjust the size normally, but with more force)

This worked for me and I didn’t have to go all mechanic on my beats❕❕

watch from around 0:50 to 1:24 of this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbloxFsF... .

It shows exactly how to open the side panel. Once side panel is opened, realign the hinge and close the panel. Done.

I was able to fix the sliding problem within a minute.

Pretty straight forward.

I was able to separate the side panels and slide the metal piece back in the track but despite several attempts I can’t snap the side panels back shut again. Any suggestions?

Yes hopefully not too late but this video was very helpful. Although, I recommend opening the side panel from the top (where the metal piece is stuck) instead of attempting to open from the actual ear piece. If you're having trouble placing the metal piece back in the track it's because you need to snap all other parts into place first starting with the ear piece section working your way up to the headband. Hope this helps!

How do you put the piece back

Thank you so much!! That video was super helpful.
