Phone on, screen is blank but light still comes through

I bought a broken iPhone 6s for $30 and was gonna fix it. The screen is blank but there is light, and i’m not sure if it is LCD damage or motherboard damage. Is there any way to check? They only dropped it, so I’m not sure why

If you only see light then its the LCD. Recommend changing out the screen and continue from there.

While taking apart the home button flex cable somehow broke so i’m just gonna take it to apple and see what they can do

They might say it cant be fixed and will tell you to buy a new one. Home button can be fixed with a replacement, however Touch ID will not work. Just put a new screen on without the home button and prox flex. It will take longer to boot up.
