URGENT:My TI-Inspire CAS CX calculator got slightly wet, what do I do?

I was walking to my tutoring class when it started to rain, I had no Idea my cas calculator was in there until I got home, I quickly searched up what to do and so I took out the battery and let it dry and wiped the area where the battery was in, I then let it charge overnight in hopes that it would work but it didn't, I searched up a bit more and I tried to dismantle it but I stopped because I got a little worried that I might break the cas calculator, it's now on my desk with the battery cover off and the battery taken away from the calculator, in hopes that it will dry up completely and magically work.

Hi,

As you know, water, electricity and electronics are not a good mix.

The water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity, which were not in the operating design of the calculator.

First (as you have already done) remove the battery as this will prevent more damage from occurring.

Then the calculator needs to be opened and all affected parts cleaned using Isopropyl Alcohol 90%+ (available at most pharmacies) to clear away any corrosion and water. Do not use "rubbing alcohol" if you can avoid it, as it is usually <70% IPA, can contain scents and is not as effective. If you have to use it, check the label to verify the amount of IPA.

Be gentle when handling the pcb and also do not "brush" away any components from the board when cleaning. Here is a link that in general describes what to do.

Electronics Water Damage

Once you have cleaned it (and allowed the alcohol to dry (evaporate), re-assemble the calculator and check if it operates OK.

Here is a link to the ifixit Texas Instruments TI-Nspire CX Repair guide. I realize that you have a different model, but this may be close enough to be of some help in dis-assembling yours as they appear very similar in design.

Hopefully this is of some help.

The problem is that the desighn is very different, and when I try to disassemble it, it feels like I'm going to break it so I stop half way
