iPhone 6 battery replacement stuck at 9% - need help

I just replaced the battery in an iPhone 6. Everything went smoothly. I powered it on and let the battery drain to 10% as recommended by the iFixit Kit. Now the Battery is stuck at 9%. I double checked my work. I made sure the battery clip where it attaches to the MB had a bit of insulation. I went as far as putting some electrical tape on the back of the battery clip hold down cover. Need some help. The phone has been on the charger for a couple days and it's not charging. While on the charger the phone will just shut down and reboot at random times.

The first thing to try is to put back your old battery and see how behaves. If it behaves normally, even though it isn't that good, then the problem may be your replacement battery, in which case you will want to contact iFixit Support (help.ifixit.com).

If the old battery behaves the same way, then your problem may be on the logic board, such as a damaged connector.

To be certain, use a battery utility, such as coconutBattery (for Mac) or 3uTools (for Windows). It will tell you what the health of the battery is. Anything less than 80% of design capacity will require replacement.

If you have access to a USB Ammeter, you could use that to determine if the phone is really drawing current when it says it's charging.

The problem is I don't have the original Apple battery. The phone's owner took it to batteries+ and they replaced it twice. I thought it was a defective battery too. That's why I went with the iFixit battery.

I am suspecting it might be the logic board and the owner will have to buy a new phone.

That sounds very much like a tristar i.c failing

It's normally caused by using non Apple chargers

It is repairable but you would expect to pay £40-£60 depending on where you go
