unknown IMEI after motherboard swap and lineageOS
I bought G900A couple years back from ebay, because it was cheaper. I didn't check the limitations it had compared to F version.
Then it got locked after factory reset because of Samsung account. The whole account manager was just broken, and didn't save or accept the Samsung account. I tied to flash different ROM, and other tricks to by pass it. It worked, but I lost some system languages, like Russian that I needed (for someone else).
Anyway I ended up ordering G900F motherboard on aliexpress. The seller said I can install it without problem.
So it booted 4.4 android version. I didn't bother with it, I just rushed straight to flash TWRP and lineageOS, as it was the easiest way to get decent updated software without crap.
Then I found out after inserting SIM, it says data connection blocked.
Eventually I noticed missing IMEI. The baseband version is fine G900FXXU1CP6
now I don't know if its blacklisted motherboard, incompatibility with the charging port board, that has some microchip related to antenna, or just software problem...
The board seller claims it had valid IMEI number.
Also I couldn't flash any of the official ROMs anymore with ODIN. All say "failed" at the end. Only Cyanogen and LineageOS worked so far.
Kinda hurts to give up on it after investing some money to bring it to live.
Or just buy another S5 and save this one for spare parts maybe...
Es esta una buena pregunta?
