Hi,
This is a new issue a few of us have brought up and we are investigating, this also appears to be an issue with the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
This is also an issue I have on my personal X.
I replaced my cracked screen with an original screen pulled from another X, and the ALS (Ambient Light Sensor, responsible for auto brightness etc.) no longer works, myself and a few others have also noticed that the brightness also isn’t as bright as it used to be overall.
If you put on your original screen, the ALS works again we have found.
So this is definitely to do with the screen being replaced and not user fault.
When we have an idea how to fix this, we will update accordingly.

TL:DR
The short: Apple is automatically disabling the ALS and only Apple or authorized phone repairer's with the Horizon Machine will be able to fix the issue.

If you replace iPhone 8, 8 plus or X screen you need to copy the firmware data of the original screen into the new screen. The needed tool is under development. I saw some working versions, what are tested and working with IOS 11.4 and 12.0 Beta. The screen data can be cloned only to OEM screens for now.
Afte the copy of the data, the light sensor works well again.

Azt szerettem volna kideriteni, hogy az a szukseges adat csak a kijelzoben van, vagy esetleg magaban a telefonban is, mert pl ha az eredeti kijelzo teljesen ossze van torve es az adat nem olvashato ki belole, akkor lehet-e tenni valamit, hogy a szenzor mukodjon az uj kijelzovel is?
Szia. Elmeletileg ha egy masik mukodo kepernyobol kiolvasod az adatokat azt is fel tudod hasznalni az uj kepernyohoz. Tehat ha a tied nem mukodik probalj szerezni egy mukodot es annak az adataival ird ujra az uj kepernyot. A gyakorlatban ezt nem probaltam, de olvastam kommentben hogy valaki igy oldotta meg ezt a problemat. Remelem nalad is mukodni fog.

Egy olyan kerdessel fordulnek hozzad hogy van egy saját iphone x-em és törött a képernyője viszont van egy eredeti teljes kijelzőm szenzorokkal meg a hangszóróval együtt és ha azt úgy együtt kicserélem a programátor segîtségével akkor utána is ugyan úgy minden funkicó fog működni?(face id, fényérzékelő)
