iMac is making a ticking sound and shows dead pixels

I have this ticking sound over 1,5 years. It's in the above left corner. I think.

After artifacs in windows with text and outside buildup, looping horizontal line i've got now only deadpixels with Youtube or Quicktime video's.

Many time I get a beach ball the iMac hangs.

What can this mean?

Bring it in twice to an Apple Service Provider. Answer: there is nothing wrong!

Start up from your system installation disk and see if the sound persists.

I did that and it does. I even did a test when it was testing the thirth fase it ticked very loudly. No errors where found. Even when it's turn off it does make a ticking sound. But less loud. Could it be the PSU? I didn't know last night what my model number was. Because it was on.

It's EMC A1207.
