I also have that problem!!! u ever get your's fixed yet??? or does anyone else on here know how to fix them??

- de

It's not fixed yet. I don't know if glue is the only way, so far only 44 have seen this post.

- de

I used super glue and it works perfectly although shocking that I had to do this repair at all

You have to pry the little silver piece off the inside of the headphones to reveal 2 Philips head screws. Remove both screws and separate the 2 pieces. once separated there is a small u type retaining clip that slips into the groove just above the dull white plastic piece that is pictured in the first picture above. Clean that groove out so the clip fits in it properly. Slightly squeeze the tips of the clip together to give it a tighter fit, then reassemble. As long as the piece that sticks out that goes into the ear piece isn't broken off, this should fix the problem.

what are the tips of the clip i dont see them anywhare

Hi,

Same happened to me yesterday. Bought it on Amazon.

They have a 18-month warranty, so I just sent them an email and they will send me a new pair.

Were you successful at receiving a new pair? What information did you provide Amazon?

- de

I went through cowin. I sent screen shots of the transaction on Amazon, a screen shot of my registration email and a photo of the broken part and they just sent me new ones!

- de

They have sent me tow replacement already.

Hot glue is good for some things but it has very little physical strength. Try a 2-part epoxy glue.

what is 2 part epoxy glue? and will I still be able to hear out of the part that's broken???

- de

You can find epoxy glue in any hardware store under various brand names, usually in a blister pack containing 2 tubes, one of resin and the other of hardener.

- de

JB Weld is probably your best bet for stuff like this. Regardless of the adhesive you use, clean both sides with alcohol or solvent based cleaner. If you want to help the glue out more, score the mating surfaces with sandpaper or a razor blade to give the glue more area to bond to.

I just used Grella glue.

It just doesn't fit the bag the same.

I forgot about about the tiny screws.

Did you unscrew the headphone then applied the glue or just applied the glue and inserted the broken link to the hole?

- de

I just applied the glue and white for a day.

- de

It came apart so I used moldable plastic.

I just want to use it since it's just sitting there.

I don't know how long it will last.

The glue last for a good while.

After contacting Cowin’s Customer Service Dept. 3 times, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I took a medium binder clip and attached the headpiece to the earpiece. It’s a tight fit but it works! Only thing is you won’t be able to swivel the earpiece. But it’s still better than having to wait for Cowin to respond.

The same thing happened to me. My younger brother fixed my by pushing it back together. He just shoved it back in. The only thing now is that you can’t turn the ear anymore but I never did that anyway.

All of your comments were great. I took them apart, as stated above. Took out the little clip and bent it in. then I took a saw (a coping saw but a hack saw would probably work) and cut a groove on either side and the back (where the clip will sit). I will have to be careful not to swivel it, or the plastic where I did not cut may bend the clip back. I should probably have cut the groove all the way around.

Forget getting any kind of customer service let alone replacement if you’re outside the US. The “European” Cowin department does not respond to any warranty claim related contact.
