Touch Screen Not Working and Touch ID Not Working

I replaced my iPhone 6 Plus' screen with a fix kit and transferred everything that needed to be transferred (in the case of the fix kit only the home button needed to be transferred) and put it back together. When I booted it back up, the touch screen wasn't working, and touch ID was disabled. Please note that the new screen itself is working perfectly. I've heard of the touch id not working when a new home button is used, but this is the same home button. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Edit: I was able to get the touchscreen to start working by disconnecting the battery (something I didn't do for the initial repair) and disconnecting and reconnecting all of the display ribbon cables (including the touch id cable) before reconnecting the battery and putting it all back together. However, I still need to figure out how to get the touch id to start working again. I think that I might need to swap the LCD backplate with the one from the original screen as I used an ifixit fix kit which came with everything except the home button preinstalled on the panel. I still would like a professional opinion or at least one from somebody that has gone through this before!

TouchID will fail if either the Home Button or the Home Button Link (the flex behind the LCD backplate) gets damaged. So you will need to take a closer look to see if there is any damage to either the flexes or the connectors.

Did the replacement screen come with it's own backplate or did you have to transfer that over? Either way, it is possible that the flex is damaged. Look for any tears, even the tiniest ones, or damaged pins on the connectors.

The ifixit fix kit did come with the back panel already on the screen. With the home button connected to that the link cable under the rear panel and connected to the logic board, the home button still functions as usual, so I doubt that there is damage. Could it be possible that the link (as well as the home button) need to be the one from the original phone for touch ID to function?

Don't assume that there is no damage...check it out for yourself, preferably with magnification. It is very common for DIY'ers to damage the Link flex and only having the click function work but not Touch ID is a typical symptom. If the Link flex looks okay, try installing the original one to see if that helps. It's just a wire so it doesn't have to be original but your replacement one may still be defective.

I'll try and see if there is damage. Thank you!

So did you try using the back metal plate from the old screen to the new one yet? Fastest way to diagnose it.
