My backlight won't turn on

I got a used Macbook pro 13 2012 2.9 GHz and when i turn it on it boots normally but i need a flash light to be able to see the screen. help

I know fuse P is blown so i tried to short it but when i did another fuse(or diode) lit up and shut down the mac. but after i hit the power butin and it came back on still with the same problem
