If you do not have 16GB of RAM (how to check https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203001 its under memory) you can upgrade to 16 GB. PC3L-12800 8 GB RAM Chip Remplazo de RAM en MacBook Pro 13 " Unibody mediados de 2012
I also reccomend upgrading to an SSD, as that will give you a noticeable boost! (More than the extra RAM might)

To clarify, your system can support up to 16 GB of RAM within the two memory slots it has.
Often the 13" unibody model's need a new HD SATA cable as they tend to wear from the rough surface of the uppercase. I strongly recommend you do that and also apply some electrical tape underneath to help protect it.

Honestly I would recommend the Toshiba Portege z20t. It is a great 2 in 1 at an affordable price. It has amazing battery life, up to 14 hours.

I think Paco is more instrested in what upgrades to his Mac he can do than jumping to a Windows system.
