Toshiba 32av500u - No Image, Clicking noise power cord in plugged in.

Hello there!

My TV Toshiba model 32av500u does not turn on and is making a clicking sound while the power led blinks green rapidly no stop. Upon closer inspection, it seems the clicking is coming from the motherboard. The clicking only seems to happen when the main board is connected to the powers supply board. I have two TVs of the same model and this is the same issue that plagues them after a power surge. They were not connected to surge protectors.

Thank you!

P.s. I do not know why I could not edit my device name. There were no other choices to select from apart from Toshiba LED TV 40PB200...

@itechnii the clicking is possibly the relay on the power board. It is possible that your power board or your mainboard has gotten damaged. Check to see if your power supply has the proper voltages. You need the 5 V standby voltage. If you do not have that you most likely have a failed power supply. Post some good images of all of your boards with your question so that we can see what you see. Use this guide Agregar imágenes a una pregunta existente for that.

@oldturkey03 So I have tested the power supply pins (P201) and have about 4.9v standby voltage going through the 10th & 11th pin of 5 VDC, so that pin is ok. I am getting 23.5v going through the 24v INV at pins 3 & 4. That is also ok. I have 0.05v going through the AC Detect at pin 14. So that is ok.

Now I have 8.9 v going through the 12 volt source at pin 8 & 9. So there seems something wrong there. So at pin 13, I keep seeing the numbers cycle from 1.16 to 1.46 and then back to 1.16 etc. There is supposed to be a 4.3 volt on off signal, but I am not getting that value here. The standby light continues blinking and the clicking noise is heard nonstop. This noise is definitely coming from the Power board. All of the above values are with the main board plugged in & only when it is plugged in that the noise is heard.

I am thinking maybe replace both main and power. Let me know. Thank you! Now to attach these photos..
