New battery not charging

My battery replacement went off without a hitch. There hasn’t been any water damage. The MagSafe cord turns green for about 2 seconds, then turns orange. The battery is at 41% and doesn’t charge any further. The system report states that there is a battery installed, and it’s not charging. I’ve recalibrated the new battery, gone through all the MagSafe 2 cord troubleshooting, reset the PRAM, and the SMC.
