My scooter is sluggish since wrong fuel.

Hi guys,

I have a 2005 100cc 2 stroke Bug Scooter.

Recently, I accidentally put 98 in it.. which ofcourse causes the scooter to run very rich. It was splattering constantly and not getting any power, until finally it just wouldn’t start.

It was at this point I knew I had to drain the fuel etc and put 91 in it.

I set about removing all the fuel, trying my best to drain the fuel lines and didn’t go anywhere near the carby cause that’s just too technical for me.

I replaced the fuel with 91.. put it all back together (albeit now my fuel gauge isn’t working) and she fired up! Yew!

It now idles perfectly, but occasionally it will splatter a couple of times and I have lost about 10ks and hour on the speed.

Any thoughts what’s going on?
