Dead Laptop with long orange then quick green flashing ac adapter
So I have a dead mbp. New battery coming Friday. Just bought a new ac charger. Tried the pram and smc resets...nothing. Tried with and without old battery doing all of the above. I'm assuming it's a bad logic board but I'll come to that conclusion when new battery gets here. My question is that there must be a way to actually fix/revive the logic board. Perhaps some soldering involved. Is this possible? If so how can I find these tiny parts?

Also I've seen a flashing green and orange light before. Why does my charger stay orange for a while and go green for a quick moment. Consistently and repetitively. I didn't know if the patterns in how the colors changed was an indication of what was wrong...

Try the new battery and get back to us with results. Then I can give you more accurate steps and information

I plugged in the new battery and the only thing that has changed is that the ac charger is no longer flashing but is now staying orange. Battery charge indicator button informs me that it is fully charged minus 1 blinking green dot. Side note: I poked my head around the internals and found some serious fray and exposure to 4 wires that go through the black bar connected to the screen left of the subwoofer.

@somexdude - How about downloading CoconutBattery and then paste a snapshot of the main window so we can see whats happening.

Well the macbook wont turn on so i'm not sure I can get a more accurate description towards the health of the battery. As for the fraying I don't have another computer to upload pictures with and it seems this website isn't friendly to uploading a picture through iphones. I applied a very small amount of pressure to these frayed wires and it was like they weren't even attached. It's the wires that go into the display of the screen.
