Touchscreen and LCD not working after reconnection
So I got a working iPhone 3G from my friend, but there was a little dust under the digitizer, so I opened it up and cleaned out the glass, (blow-dryed it out on cool) and reassembled it. Then phone was on while doing this. I also pull a little bit of plastic covering off of the gold part on the top of the LCD. Completely resembled, the LCD/touchscreen doesn't work. Removed/re-installed logic board, nothing. Restored the software, nada. Cleaned the contacts with alcohol, still nothing. It receives calls and the vibe switch works so I know its not the logic board.
I have no idea what i did wrong, I read somewhere that you're supposed to remove the battery. I have no idea what went wrong, everything was working before. help!
Es esta una buena pregunta?

any chance of a photo to show the LCD as it is now?? ie without the gold part. Or take a look at the parts section for 3g and describe with more detail where this part was. I suspect this is the error you have made, but you could try dusting all the connections anyway.

its the top right gold part, there is some clear plastic covering over it. IDK if that does anything. Also, the weird thing is is that the touchscreen is not working also. So if the lcd doesnt work, does that mean the touchscreen will not work either?
