@oldturkey03 . im looking at a tv for my friend, it has backlight and sound but not image. i have found a diode thats reading in both directions .718 on way and .201 the other. so i know its bad. my question is on the diode it says 5819 top line and 0908 bottom. what would the value be. thanks

so 40v 1a is it
@djdannyrock attached the schematic (location C3 on sheet 5) for the power board to my answer. It verifies that DM802 is a 1N5819 diode

@oldturkey03 i replaced the diode but im still getting a reading from both sides, any ideas what could be the cause
@djdannyrock you've checked the power board with the attached schematic to make sure it is not showing other components that have failed?

@djdannyrock what make and model is the TV? Post some images of your board and the diode on the board with your question. Use this guide Agregar imágenes a una pregunta existente that way we can see what you see.
