Can anything be done to salvage CPU fan to logic board connection?

I majorly failed attempting to solder the CPU fan connector to the logic board after accidentally disconnecting it when replacing the two fans. I know everything I did is very dumb, and I've paid for my mistake by getting my husband a new Mac and copying a backup from this one to the new one, but I'd still like to know if anything can be done to salvage the one I severely damaged.

First I attempted gluing the connector back on, because it appeared all the pins on the fan connector still made connections to the logic board.

That didn't work, so I attempted the accepted fix here (where someone also suggested the "gluing" solution I tried first): I popped off the fan connection from the logic board...Fix?

That was a major mistake on my part, not having the soldering skills or steady hand necessary. I ended up melting the connector onto the board.

Next I attempted some other suggestions for the same question in the link above, including soldering the wires from the fan directly to the connector pins on the board. I ended up making it even worse. Here's what it looks like now; I don't think the connector pins are even there any more after I stupidly made so many attempts to try to solder the fan wires to the board, damaging it more each time:

Is there anything short of a replacement logic board that can be done for this poor MacBook Pro? I read somewhere that the CPU fan could be connected to the other fan connector and some settings modified using SCM Fan Control so both fans could run off the same fan connector. I would not attempt this myself given my previous major failures, but I wondered if there were any other options that weren't as expensive as a complete logic board replacement.
