iPad Mini 1 backlight fuse acting weird. Need some help.

I bought an iPad Mini off Ebay that said it had backlight issues. It didn't come with a screen and I bought an LCD screen and digitizer. I did buy genuine Apple replacement parts and didn't buy any after market garbage. The weird thing is when it's dead and I plug it up to charge the screen actually lights up. So the charging battery screen actually shows up with no backlight problems. Once the iPad boot up oddly enough the backlight is gone again. Can't figure out why the backlight works when it's booting and when it actually hit the lock screen it's gone again. Any help would be much appreciated. I haven't had any luck finding someone with this issue online anywhere.

I'm willing to link photos if needed.

It's hard to say exactly what could be causing this without having the device in hand. As you say, if the backlight works for the initial start, it should work overall. It could be a problem with the replacement LCD. You say you purchased high quality replacement parts, which is good, but even those can sometimes be defective.

However, it is possible that the circuit can't handle the current load for extended periods of time. It could also be a problem with the digital logic telling the backlight to shutdown incorrectly. Ideally, you would have to test a known-good LCD first and then probe the logic board if the problem persists. The mini is well known to have backlight issues.
