replacement phone screen is blank after installing

After replacing the screen on my Oukitel k6000 pro, the screen is blank. Backlight turns on and the screen is registering touch (https://youtu.be/xtoXoZOk0UQ) but nothing shows up.

The seller said the screen had been tested and that it is newer model than the original screen. The old screen doesn't have this problem but the lcd is cracked, so i'm unable to use it. I'm running stock android 7.0.

I have tried two new screens, both have the exact same issue so most likely the replacement screen is not faulty. Have also wiggled and reseated the connectors multiple times but the same issue continues.

Any suggestions?

have not found a solution, the seller was ccoommnn on ebay
