I have an Imac 27 inch late 2009 to 2010 that has no hard drive and the logic board is probably going or gone. The Apple store folks said I can sell the rest for parts. Where is the best place to do this?

Apple wants you to go buy a new machine every six years so they don't support it. This policy goes against everything this site stands for. Please tell us your symptoms and lets get this machine running. Yes the hard drive can be replaced and the logic board seldom fails. Tell us what the diagnostic LEDs are telling you. It was a puzzle when I took it in, and I wondered if the person I worked with actually had the expertise to diagnose the problem. The screen kept shutting off - would sometimes be on briefly at boot up but not long enough to do anything. He ran some diagnostics and suggested that I do one thing, and then he decided it was the logic board, since his first attempt to fix whatever he thought it was did not work. The hard drive works - I just had them remove it to take my data off. Yes, I like the idea of fixing things. I have another almost identical machine with other issues - so I can't actually use either at the moment. Any ideas are welcome.
If the hard drive is OK, then the most likely problem is the GPU, not the logic board. Sounds like a tech with limited experience. Hooking it up to an external monitor will help us with diagnostics, Look at the bottom of the stand and give me the EMC #, please.

u can take the ram and speaker out easily they would be worth a little (ram can be sold for high price)
and the display might sell on eBay
