That is what you dialer should look like. To use the letters under the numbers, enter the number to the count of the letter you want to use. For instance, if I wanted to enter the letter B, I press two twice. If I wanted to enter O, I press 6 three times. Understand?
Hope this helps!

thanks for your advice George. I pressed 2 twice, but all that came up was
2 twos. same with o, up came 3 sixes. What do you think?
Sounds like tom wants his password to be a word instead of a number. Like using the letters on a standard dial up phone to spell it out. For example WORD would be 9673
The answer given by George A. is totally wrong. The answer given by mayer is the correct answer.
Some carriers require a letter in the passcode to unlock the phone. I was FORCED to use a letter and now my phone is bricked because I can't type a letter after a system update.
Its not helping cause have tried so many times if l press 2 twice it gives me 22 while l need alphabet

So give me right way
Hi just discovered on my phone. Hold down the required key for a few moments and this works.
I went into my actual ‘pair a new device’ part of my phone and it came up with the complete keyboard!

That's the way it will look. For instance, when someone's phone number is 1-800-CALL-NOW, their number is actually 1-800-222-2-555-555-66-666-9. That's how it looks. The letters are just so you can spell things in a phone number, but it's still just a number. To the dialer letters are just numbers.

I have this problem, Human resources in my country lets me speak the first 2 passcodes they need to let me talk to someone then I'm asked to input a third which ends in a letter, (this is new) there is no way I have found to input anything but numerals, we are not talking about the corresponding letters assigned to each numeral on the keypad so we can work out what "1-800-CALL-NOW" is but to actually input a letter.
