After update my screen won't come back on.
Power light is on. I held down power button for 30 seconds and still nothing. Anything else I can do?

Do not do a recovery. Had same problem but hooked up to external monitor and saw a new update notification. Update fixes the issue. Must have been some bad code.

You may have to make a recovery drive with the recovery utility -- but before you resort to that, try connecting your TC2 to another display via HDMI. Then revert to the stable channel.
This is now a known issue -- a bug previously in the dev channel somehow made its way to the beta channel, it appears. It causes what you described on Toshiba Chromebook 2 "Swanky" devices.
