Phone doesn't power on?

My iphone has been acting weird for about a week now. The screen would randomly shut off and up until now, taking it apart and unplugging the battery and replugging it in has worked. But now it doesn't. There seems to be no damage to the screen or any cables (no water damage, not dropped, etc). Soft resetting, hard resetting, and even pressing every button at the same time doesn't work. I can plug it into my computer and it is recognized. I heard updating it works so I tried that and that did nothing. I used iTunes to wipe it and that worked, and the computer recognized that it did so (no visual changes to the phone). The computer says the battery is at 91% charge, so it can't be the battery. I've tried unplugging all of the screen cables and reinstalling them and that doesn't seem to help. Any ideas on what to do to get my phone to start up?

Your phone is definitely powering on because iTunes recognizes it. Your problem is that the screen is not coming on. You either have a backlight issue or and LCD issue.

To help isolate the problem, connect your phone to an iTunes enabled computer and shine a bright flashlight on the screen. If you see a very dim image, then the problem is the backlight. If you don't see an image, then the LCD is not working.

Either of these problems could be caused by either a defective screen or a logic board issue. Ultimately, you (or someone) will have to try a known-good replacement screen to see if that solves the problem. If it is logic board related, then it will require a micro-soldering repair and is not a DIY fix.

So I flashed a bright light on it (industrial strength flashlight) and EVEEERRRRRR so slightly I am seeing some horizontal lines. I don't know if I'm seeing the other side of the screen, as I had no screen issues before this, and my laptop is telling me my phone is on and "functioning," so I should be seeing the home or lock screen. This LCD was a replacement about 2 months ago and nothing went wrong with the installment. Used it for 2 days and it was fine. It then sat on the shelf for about 2 months. When I grabbed it, it started being funky

Well, if you had mentioned that earlier...

I would suspect the replacement screen as being defective. Check with the shop that did the repair or the supplier that sold you the screen. Screens go bad either very soon or hardly at all. After only 2 days use, that could just be a bad screen but you just never realized it because it sat on a shelf.
