My AV cable causes my xbox to turn off when I plug it in

My AV cable causes my xbox to turn off when I plug it in

My xbox typically works fine but as of yesterday whenever I plug the AV cable in it turns off immediately and won't start as Lon as the cable is plugged in but if I remove the cable it works fine. What can I do to resolve this?
