HP is a piece of SH!T. According to my findings on the net, me and hundreds if not thousands like me have the same will not power up problem. Before this the belt had trouble bringing back the scanner.

My 27” all in one touch screen PC lost it´s ability to use it´s blu ray player when it was updated with the HP supplied windows update disk. They never fixed it and never compensated me regardless of how many times I complained. My small all in one with AMD has had driver issues from day 1 and is also a piece of SH!T. These are in the office, I have been using Mac a few years now so at least the suffering is over, but be in no doubt. a penny on a HP product is basically a penny on garbage.

HP builds the 4635 to fizzle out on the power supply after X amount of time. In other words they build it to break so they get more sales because they are pretty much a monopoly in the printer business. I've also heard that HP now has an app upgrade to your printer that simply will not allow any kind ink cartridge (re filled or any other) than their own. A company that cares not about service, it's customers and only greed and profit.

- Disconnect the power cord from the device and the electrical source.

- After disconnecting the power cord, wait at least five minutes.

- Inspect the power cord for damage (exposed wiring, cracked, etc.). If the cord is not damaged, plug it back in after at least five minutes.

- If you are still unable to obtain power to the device, try another power outlet.

- If possible, try connecting power directly to a wall outlet.

This May Help,

Peter

I have a 5540 all in one printer. The power cord is working because the green light comes on. When I plug it in I get two flashes of light but when I press the power button it does not come on. I got it in 2016. Can anyone help?

What would be the chance of getting that Officejet Family Technical Support Solutions Guide back up on Keepandshare.com? It's no longer there and I'd love to see if it has an answer for why my Officejet 7410 won't complete a start up sequence but only cycles the LCD screen over and over.

You more than likely have a faulty wireless card in your 7410. However, the good news is the rest of the printer is probably still fully functional. I did a little google work and found a link to an article that shows you how to disconnect the built in wireless card to test.

http://callitout.com/quotes/index.php/ki...

Good luck!

Thank you SOOOO much for that link. I disconnected the wireless board as instructed and presto-chango, the printer booted up normally. I tried, as one person suggested at that link, to reconnect the wireless board after a successful reboot with it disconnected to see if it worked. But in my case, the reconnected wireless board would not allow the unit to boot. So, the wireless remains disconnected forever and I don't care. Don't use that function anyway. Printer is up and running normally. Thank you, again!

Glad to know it worked for you, Jack! The reconnection suggestion that you reference from the article is a misnomer - The problem is that if the card is bad, it just won't work - period. Some users have found that AFTER booting the 7410 with the card unplugged - they can reconnect it without crashing the printer - as long as the reconnection is done with the power ON. But wireless capability will NOT be restored. Plus as an undesirable bonus, the next time the power is removed and then reinstated, you're right back to the looped boot fail! The only way to confidently repair this is to replace the main logic board AND the wireless card - which is, in my opinion, far too expensive of an option for a printer of this age. Good luck to all! - Randy

Most probably these models comes with an external power supply. So all you need to do is to try changing the power chord first and if you have a volt-meter then do check if the supply is giving the prescribed voltage or not. If not then replace the power supply.

Yes I did all these step but it doesn't direct any effect above the printer. Now its logic board is demage (means back side of main board i remove one part like 8 pin MOSFET from there) so I decided to replace by other formatted logic board buy from eBay. Thank you sir for giving me your precious information, Thank you so much.

Faulty power cords and connections are an uncommon but possible cause of a printer not turning on. Before suspecting a cord failure, ensure that there is power to the wall outlet and there are no conditions preventing the printer from turning on. Testing by substitution can confirm if a cord connection is the problem.

Will
