How can I fix my laptop logo/boot loop?

When I start up my laptop the samsung logo comes up and after a few seconds goes to a black screen and a few seconds later it goes back to the logo and it keeps repeating this forever. I have tried many of the common BIOS keys and none of them brought up anything.

Have you tried to use a usb with a bootable window?

Hi!

I have the same problem, and with some googling, it came out that the NVRAM (which is located in the bios) is corrupted. (In my case, it corrupted when I installed linux, as documented on many forums.) Unfortunately, the only fix is to buy a new bios chip and replace it.

Take out battery:

Try resetting BIOS:

I would ignore the desoldering part and just remove the CMOS “coin” battery, to the right ,top of video before where he does the desoldering.

This will help with disassembly - clearer than video:

Hi @gcb140

My bet is your Hard Drive is having problems. You can try to reinstall windows using a recovery disk but if it continues to fail, you may need to replace the Hard Drive.

I am having the same problem but after I replaced the hard drive and RAM. Boot loop, won't even POST, can't get into BIOS. Won't boot from DVD drive or Hiren's through USB.

After you've replaced the Hard Drive, you will need to reinstall an Operating System for the computer to recognize the Hard Drive as a boot device. Follow these instructions to start the process:

You will need a bootable flash drive with your Operating System installer on it to reinstall successfully.
