iPhone 6s LCD Backlight not working

I recently fixed an iPhone 6s after a fall into water using some isopropyl alcohol and an ultrasonic cleaner, after changing the battery the phone (almost) works, but there is a problem, the phone works without any problem but I need to use a flashlight to see the display because the backlight isn't turned on. My idea was to buy a new backlight panel and replace it because I think that the contact with water shorted it. What do you guys think should I do? Replace the back light panel or the problem is in some component on the logic board?

You can't easily replace a backlight panel on an iPhone, they are fused with the LCD and the rest of the screen. It sounds to me like you have a blown backlight circuit on the logic board. It's usually the filter but it can also be the rest of the circuit.

If you did a professional water decontamination, then it's either the screen or the backlight circuit on the logic board. If you have access to a known-good screen, try that first. Otherwise, you will need to find a reputable shop that does micro-soldering.

If you just put the logic board in a jewellery cleaner, then I would highly recommend you have it professionally decontaminated using a laboratory-grade ultrasonic cleaner and the proper chemicals.

Hi mate, after water damage it most times kills the screen, replace it. Or if you can, test that screen on a known good phone

unless you want to go to the extreme first of stripping down the phone and Searching the main board for blown components, if you have the tools and the ability, cool, if not its a big job ! The screen is your starting point

Cheers
