I fixed YLOD but now I get blinking red light after a few minutes

So after using the YLOD fix it kit my ps3 now boots up but after a few minutes of play it shuts off by itself and blinks the red power light. In my opinion I think it has to do with overheating because the fan gets extremely loud when powered on. Any help would be appreciated.
