My radio won't turn on and some lights on dash front aren't working

Hello, i have a Chevy Impala 2004 and i tried to hook up an aftermarket radio and i had a friend wire the radio and when we tried to put it in it will not turn on, the antenna cord wouldn't fit my aftermarket radio so he figured it was because of the antenna so i put in my original radio back in and now it won't turn on at all, i know my radio is plugged in correctly, and i have tried unplugging it then putting it back in a couple times but no luck, also below where my radio is there are no lights around my heat controls. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
