TIM KIMBER, Did you find out the problem? Wondering if you received an email or anything about your above problem. We're having similar problems with blades not staying on after mower mowers for about 5 minutes and blades disengage after you turn to the right after we've made several turns left & right. We're Not doing any sharp turns. Then the 20amp fuse blew below PTO switch

Did you solve your problem my mower doing the same thing but wen I turn left the PTO comes on turn right it shuts off

I had this issue for days myself. Your belt needs tension. The belt works loose so the RPMs causes it to slip and not regrip right away. I've used the 2 methods below as permanent fixes on different tractors.

1. I found the same sized pulleys as what's on my deck that were grooved with notches. I then got a belt with the same notches and length as the original belt and this fixed my Scott's tractor.

2. My lawnboy tractor, I tightened the belt tension as much as possible with the deck adjustment nuts. It worked for about a week then it began slipping again. I picked up a belt that was 1/2 inch shorter than the original for the deck. I loosened the tension on the deck and installed the shorter belt to make sure that it would fit all the way around. I set the tension so that the belt was a little difficult to install then tightened it around 1/4 turn more to ensure it was tight.

Both methods have been a solid fix for my tractors now for 4 months. Hopefully this can help one of you guys out too!

@mattk ,Matt, Something as simple as a low battery/bad connection or not charging could cause this. Possibly bad seat/reversing safety switch, faulty/loose wire/plug to clutch/PTO/switch, clutch faulty. Trouble shooting/parts/manual links below may help. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Have to hold my PTO switch up to keep blades engaged. Put a new switch on, and still have the same problem.

My Craftsman 33" walk behind mower has blades engage with lever down but as I cut the grass itself slows the blades to a stop. I walk to a clear area and the blades spin again. Not sure why the grass would slow the blades to a stop. Can anyone help

Check your deck level make sure it is to factory spec because if it's not your belt will slip nonstop and will only work when you put pressure on your pto switch arm
