How did you identify a problem with the integrated nic in the mother b

My network port does not connect via ethernet, the machine does not recognize the connection, and nothing appears on the bios, I can not identify if it is a software or hardware problem.

Do I need to buy another wireless or wired network card?

Make sure your device drivers are up to date.

Here is a link to the support page.

Without an internet connection you'll need to download the update files onto a memory stick or portable HDD on another device, and install them on the Dell through USB.

Let me know if this helps, and if you have any other questions.

The drivers have not worked, and I find myself doing the ePSA, I suspect that the electronic problem is the problem, any ideas?

When you plug the cable in there should be two lights that start to blink in the port itself, orange and green are they blinking?

Have you tried a different ethernet cable?

If you are not sure if the problem is hardware, try pinging the local network adapter. Open a command prompt and type "Ping 127.0.0.1" and enter. If the local adapter is working it will respond. if it times out then it is either the driver or the adapter is defective.

If the network adapter is on the mother board, you may have to replace the motherboard. If it is an adapter that is connected to the mother board then you should look for a similar network adapter (usually PCI).
