Phone doesn't start or charge

Alright yesterday morning while i was in my gallery scrolling through a pic, my phone just hung. like it wouldn't even respond to the power button when i tried to lock the screen. so i tried to reboot it by long pressing the power button and it stuck on the google logo screen. then shut down on its own. now it won't respond to charging , or even a hard reset (oh boy i held that power button for at least 5 minutes once)

it will occasionally show me a light of hope and get to the "Your software Cant be checked for corruption...bootloader unlocked" and maybe even the google logo screen.but never past that.

Please help? I love that friggin phone and I really don't have any other option.

Hi,

You said that you tried a hard reset and held the power button for 5 minutes.

To perform a hard reset you need to press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power button both together until the recovery screen appears.

Be aware that you will lose all your data and downloaded apps when performing a hard reset.

Here is a link that that describes the full procedure. Scroll down to the section headed "Nexus 6P factory reset: how to do it with the hardware buttons"

Oh didn't know that. But did try that too, exploring all the options

Anyway thanks for trying to help, anything else I can do?

Hi,

You could try re installing the stock ROM into the phone BUT the phone needs to be at least 50% charged before you can do this.

Perhaps you could try just leaving it connected to the charger for say 3-4 hours to see if it kickstarts back into charging. If it does allow it to fully charge and then try starting it normally and see what happens. If no good then try a hard reset as described in the link above and if that is no good and if it still has sufficient charge try reflashing the ROM. Here is a link
