Is it my screen or my battery the problem?

I have the iPhone 5c and I had the screen replaced not too long ago.

It was working perfectly fine but I dropped it and thanks to them not putting in all the necessary screws and pieces, the screen came off.

I picked it up, connected everything that came off and tried turning it on, but the screen was blue and then when I tried again nothing happened.

I let the phone rest for about two days and then connected everything that came off and it showed the low battery sign so I let it charge for a while but it still didn't turn on and continued to show the low battery sign.

Which is weird because it should have been turning on already.

Sadly, my mom tripped on the cable and the phone fell yet again and the same thing happened all over (except the screen didn't come off).

I disconnected and connected everything and the screen was dark blue and then it wouldn't turn on.

I have let it rest for about a week now and I decided to try plugging it into my computer to see if iTunes would recognize it, and it didn't.

So, is the screen the problem (which I doubt because it's a new screen) or is it the battery?

If it's the battery,, what do I do?

That was painful to read ;>)...poor phone!

My concern is the condition of the logic board. Having the screen connectors torn away may have caused some damage to the screen flexes or the logic board itself. Was the retaining bracket in place (it covers the many connectors from the screen)? If so, the flexes may be partially torn.

I highly doubt it is the battery but that is the easiest thing to try. A new screen is also easy to try. But before spending lots of money on an iPhone 5C, I would visually inspect the logic board, the connectors, the flexes etc to see if there are any obvious signs of damage. A repair shop should be able to quickly determine if the screen is the problem or not. I would recommend you find a better shop than the last one.

The retaining bracket wasn't there at all, which is why the screen and the connectors came off in the first place. I am taking it to a new shop and I'm going to ask them to check the connectors and the logic board. Thanks!
