ok iv now found all the detailed information that is needed, if any one else has been struggling to find proper information of how to replace the screen or any thing further than removing the battery here is every single little tiny bit you will need to be able do what ever you like, heres the link

Nokia's Official Servicing Manual

or copy n paste this into browser

Tho a word of WARNING !!!! if you are wanting to replace a cracked or smashed touch screen digitaliser "the touch screen" dont buy just the glass screen its self, youl need to buy the screen with the window assy, well you will if your wanting to do an insurance job like id planned in putting the cracked screen back in when it was finally covered, even if your just replaceing the screen yourself, youl hv a job sticking the screen back into the window assy

hello,

I have got the same problem. I can't remove the top. On the Nokia pages it says that you should push with your thumbs from the back but it doens't work for me. Did anyone succeed in removing the top. If yes can you tell me how?

Regards

joop

You have to squeeze it a bit on the left & right side and push it upwards at the same time. Please look at picture A6 in this dokument:

http://www.faq4mobiles.de/flashes/Deadma...

It seems "hard" to get it off - but eventually it will come off.

THanks, it was really squeezing. To be honoust I did it in a bankscrew with rubber in between. I don't think this is the best way but it worked.

THanks Joop
