Broken LCD would recommend replacing the full display unit.

I assume by "bleeding purple" it's looks more like cloudy blobs of purple rather than purple lines. I would say that this is a bad LCD and needs to be replaced if that's the case. If it is lines then surely it is possible as Gigabit said for the LCD connector to have been knocked loose if it isn't due to physical damage to the LCD itself that is visible.

Hi @ Mary Ariyo,

It is only going to get worse and there's not much that you can do about it except to replace the screen.

I suggest that you backup the phone to the cloud or a PC using the phone's backup feature while you still can so that you have a copy of your personal data, before the screen fails entirely and you cannot use the phone at all

If the LCD is broken, or there is little spot on the screen. The spot will get bigger over time. So, you need a new screen in the end.

Can you still see the screen on the top? Is it like a big blob of purple? Or lines? Try to re-seat the LCD connector, might have been knocked loose.

Hi @jephiano,

It's not going to get better by itself.

The phone needs to be opened and looked at to determine what the cause is, either a loose connection or a faulty screen which will need to be replaced.

Check my answer above for more information on how to open the phone etc..

Hi @XoX Denisa XoX

Here’s a link to the ifixit Reemplazo de Pantalla de Samsung Galaxy S7 guide.

You may notice that the repair is rated as difficult.

If you’ve never done a phone LCD screen replacement before this is not a good model to try as a first attempt.

Contact a reputable., professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote to replace the screen. It may be cheaper in the long run
