Screen issues not solved by replacement screen?

Hello!

I've repaired hundreds of iPhones in the past and never had an issue, however today im baffled on what to do next... (unbelievably) luckily its my phone!

Please see the images attached here: http://imgur.com/a/ZzN5W

The issues:

1: The screen, as shown in image 1, is darker in the top right side of the screen.

2: When i lock the screen, or it auto-locks, the screen goes black, but doesnt FULLY turn off... Theres still a glow from the screen as showed in image 2. When it does the, the phone just bricks itself. It wont unlock, the vibration switch doesnt respond, home button doesnt work, doesnt respond to being charged, nothing. However i have been in a facetime call and it still works?!

Everything else seems to work perfectly apart from this!

The only thing i can think of is that my friend spilt a drink on my leg while my phone was in the pocket, and so it got a bit damp, but i quickly got the phone out of my pocket and dried it off. This was 3 weeks ago though!

What i have tried:

I have tried replacing the entire LCD screen, and the same stuff happens, so its not the screen.

I have tried cleaning the connectors for the screen, no change.

I CANT WORK OUT WHATS WRONG WITH IT!

HELP PLEASE?!

Unfortunately, it sounds like water damage on the logic board. As an experienced repairer, if you have looked at all of the other possibilities, that is all that's left.

Now a screen that is half dimmed is usually a problem with the cathode side of the backlight circuit. There is one anode line to drive the backlight and two cathode lines as a return path. Check FL2025/FL2026 and the associated circuitry. As to why the backlight stays on and appears to lock up the device, that's hard to say from here. Start probing, replace any bad components and then see if the symptoms have changed.

This requires the proper tools and experience so if you don't feel comfortable, look for a qualified micro-solderer.

The issue is the backlight driver. This must be replaced. The driver is causing problems on pp1v8 wake switching voltage get driver changed professionally as its proximity from the cpu
