No audio unless paired with my Bluetooth speaker.

This started about an hour ago. I picked up my tablet after my son had been using it and I noticed the audio going crazy. The notication, media, alarm, audio kept rapidly going up and down on its own. It seemed as if the volume keys on the side of the device were stuck, but I checked and they weren't. It wouldn't stop, so I shut down the device and restarted it. Once I turned the tablet back on, the volume stopped changing on its own but when I tried to play videos on YouTube or Netflix, there was no sound.

Usually there was a sound that played when I used the volume keys, or turned the volume up or down, but that stopped as well.

I went to the setting menu, thinking my son may have changed something(which is doubtful, as I had an app locking app. My son would have needed to draw a pattern to get to the settings menu and he did not know the password. I messed around with the settings without luck. I deleted some recently installed apps, including talkback. Still, nothing.

I again restarted the device. I went to my settings again and made sure that all audio was at its loudest. Everything was turned on. I turned on mute, and turned it back on again. The weird thing is, when I did that, a short ring tone played to indicate that the audio was turned on. I went to change a few notification ring tones to see what would happen, and they all played fine when I clicked on them. But still, I was unable to play media. Not through the device's built in speakers, or through the headphones connected in the audio jack.

So I did a factory reset. I went through the entire procedure and once I was able to use the tablet fully again, I tried to play a YouTube video. Again, no sound at all. I clicked through the setting some more. The audio still worked when I played ringtones. I turned on audio feedback for when I touch the screen, type etc, and the audio doesn't work.

I turned on audio feedback for when I plug in the charger, and it works then.

Finally, I connected my Bluetooth speaker. All audio plays perfectly through it.

I am at a loss. What should my next step be? The tablet is not even a year old... Should I contact Samsung to check ,your warranty status? I feel like I have tried everything. What else can I do if a factory reset didn't work? The tablet was well taken care of. This audio issue happened out of the blue. My son was using an app (talking ginger) and the app was playing audio just fine just seconds before this all started happening.
