I have the same problem but in Reverse my passenger window will go up but will not come back down I change switches and even bought another motor but still got the same problem

- de

Did you try checking the driver side switch which could be the cause of the whole problem, It could be wet shorted or something broke in the inside and shorted the switch (driver side switch controlling the passenger side window)

- de

Same issue and I replaced the switch but still won't go up. can't lock doors either. Could I have bought a faulty switch from Walmart

- de

Same issue - down but not up. Window “Regulator” is good - replaced the whole unit to find out that was not the issue - Misdiagnosed by Honda. They wanted $1018 to do the job i did with a $38 A/m part. However, I have 12V to both sides of the switch as described above. Seems I have a ground wire issue since I can roll down and not up. I was able to take the old Regulator and power it in both directions with an external voltage source. I then took the rear switch plate from the left where is issue is and installed it on the right rear door and it rolled the window up and down. i assume now a wire issue to the door OR the master control switch. Any thoughts?

Have 09 town and country with same issues

Most likely the problem is the switch.

Honda/Acura use a polarity reversing ground at rest power window system, same as the door locks.

When not rolling the windows, [at rest] both the leads going to the window motor are grounds, when the switch is pressed for up or down the ground is "lifted" off one of the leads and 12V+ is supplied, window rolls in one direction, when switch is rocked in the other direction the ground is "lifted" from the other lead and 12V+ is supplied to it, polarity reversing.

A simple test is to connect a 12V test light to the motor leads red/blue and red/yellow drivers side and blue/yellow and blue/green pass. side, [from drivers switch] it is blue/white and blue/red for pass. side at pass. switch, it does not matter which way test light is connected, test light should light up when switch is rocked in either direction.

You can also unplug the switch and supply 12V+ and a ground directly to the motors leads to roll the windows up or down.

If the windows move in one direction the problem is not the motors it is the wiring or lack of a ground or power because of the switch.

2022. Same problem on my MDX 2008

Driver's power window goes down, but not up.

Replaced the master switch twice with fairly used ones and problem was still there.

I returned the switches.

I had to replace the driver's MPCS (Multiplex Control System) unit. Part number 38860-STX-A01 which solved the problem.

I have an Acura mdx 2012 and my Driver side window would go down but not up. I tried changing the window motor and the window switch and I did not get any results. I ended up buying Multiplex Control System) unit. Part number 38860-STX-A01 which olumide recommend and my window was working fully once again ( 📝 my old door computer Multiplex Control System) unit. Part number 38860-STX-A01 had a burnt smell to it.)

I have a 2004 Honda CRV passenger front window goes up won't go down. Change master switch and passenger switch and the window regulator checked all the fuses still not working. Definitely confuse

Master switch does not work at all for the passenger window all other windows work. The driver side window switch works but only goes up not down. Any other suggestions?

This is quite old one but I'm still replying since I had the exact same problem so hopefully someone else can solve their window problems with my advice.

There are three wires going to passenger side from the master switch. Wire colors are blue/white, black/green and blue/red. These wires come to the passenger side switch. Remove both switches from the door panels so you can see the wires. Measure with a multimeter that there is continuity in each of the previously mentioned wires. I had one of these wires broken and therefore couldn't use the window.

So on my window I went on eBay and found the window relay switch on the drivers side that is the master and now my window goes both up and down. It was not the regulator or motor. I put 12V on in both directions and it worked.

My window went down, but not up. A guy came along and said it' happened to him in a different make of car. It's a long shot, but it might work. He told me to turn on the ignition, but not turn the engine over. Try the up switch, then use the switch to make the window go down and up 3 times in a row. Try the up switch again. He said that I may have overloaded the circuit at one point and this was a reset sequence. It actually worked..!!

Honda CRV 2011 passenger window stuck closed. Told it was a £500.00 fix. (YEAAHH)

Left it but stayed closed when tried. During wintertime I was not using the car so disconnected battery due to the power comsumed by the usual gadgets.. Four weeks later reconnected battery and guess what. The window works fine. Seens to have been just the on board electrics conputer getting confused. So try it and see. Can't harm.

My 14 crosstrek did the same thing, called a Subaru friend of mine and they said put the passenger window down and hold the button down for 10 seconds and put it back up and hold that for 10 seconds, and then do the same with the drivers side, put the window down and hold it for 10 seconds and then put the window up and hold it for 10 seconds and sure enough it worked.
