I have a phone that I hear all sounds to set them (so not a speaker problem), but the phone doesn't ring or have any notification sounds. Yes, the volume is up, the speaker works, just doesn't ring when calls come in so I miss all calls.

Do you know that if you will look carefully above the icon that shows up on your screen when you. Adjust your volume. It has several different volume controls on it depending on when you touch the volume up/down button on the side. Make sure you see where the icon says Ringer, and not volume. Try that.

If you look at the top of the screen in the notification bar, if you see a little moon symbol you have do not disturb switch on, to turn off pull up the bottom menu and you'll see the DND symbol hit this to switch off
