@isesame what do you consider a "modern day" MBP logic board? I have a few broken ones that I can cut apart and count the layers. It'll be at least two. Interesting question. Do you mind sharing why your are asking?

I want to know too. I accidentally cracked a little section of my macbook pro mid 2010 and i wanted to know if it would be possible to jump the connections with some insulated wires
