Why does my camera randomly shut down?
Sometimes my camera will shut down when I am taking photos and I don't know why. Any thoughts?

Sometimes your camera may shut down due to a malfunctioning power supply.
Remove the batteries from your camera for 30 seconds, put them back, and then see if that solves your problem. If the issue continues, try replacing the batteries all together.

@jordanellery , Jordan, Minolta QTsi Maxxum shuts down when I am taking photos, try different battery, ensure batteries are healthy and charged check in your cameras settings or if timer is set, to see if camera is in power save mode. Link below is a manual for your camera. Good luck.

I have a X-300 and im having a similar problem where I get lights indicating the battery being exhausted despite the batteries being fresh and new. I looked it up and im pretty sure it's from a faulty capacitor. You might have the same problem, the good news is theres a way to fix it, the bad news is you need to have a screwdriver, and a soder gun, If you do you can follow this tutorial https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=... If you don't you might be able to send it somewhere to get fixed.
