How to fix triggers squeaking?

My right trigger squeaks when pressed.

The only fixes i can find are to put oil in it or blow on it wich are both temporary fixes.

Jayden, spray trigger with silicone lubricant while working trigger to allow lubricant to work into slide area, wipe trigger surface clean and give it a try. It should hold up for quite a while. Good luck.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Thank you - i had to go out and get some silicone lubricant since the only thing i had on hand was WD-40 and thats a bad idea lol but i took the controller apart and used a small brush to sort of paint the oil onto the springs in the trigger and they are flawless now.

My squeaky Nightmare is over!

I know I'm late to this and WD-40 is a bad idea to use on a controller, but what about the silicone lubricant that WD-40 make? Would that be of any use or is that still a bad idea?

WD 40 is mineral oil in suspension. The carrier agent are solvents that are polymer safe mostly. The issue is the amount people usually use, which is too much. Once the solvent evaporated, the oil is left ideally you want a micron thick film on the working parts, no more than that or it'll start to gunk up with dust overtime. Silicone oil will do the same if you apply too much of it.
