Where does this part go? It's my first Samsung repair and I'm usually very methodical. I noticed this part on my esd mat and for the life of me I can't figure out where it goes.

I've been watching videos and looking up pics and I see no reference to this part! It's driving me nuts!

Is there anywhere which have 2 small black pins which this would locate into?

That's what I would start looking for if the same thing g happened to me.

How did you find the s6 to work on?

That's the problem! I have been looking over everything for hours. It makes no sense at all. And I see no mention of anything similar anywhere. It's a mystery part lol.

I absolutely hate working on the s6. I really enjoy iPads and iPhones. This is brutal.

I have an S6 beside me and I'm bored. I'll rip into it and see if I can figure it out.

What repair did you do?

Dude that would be awesome. Just did a LCD/screen swap.

Maybe, I'm sure it doesn't belong thou.

Looks like it's out of the plus and not the normal s6 edge. I'm convinced this part was dropped in during manufacturing.

Dont think so. All the buttons look untouched and function as they should.

I'm almost to the point of thinking this part was sitting in there from manufacturing.

The good news is that you are smarter than the engineers at Samsung. You put it together with less pieces than they did!

I took the phone completely apart except for separating the screen. The power button matches up to your pic but the colors weren't a match. So if that wasn't it...who knows.

Ha ha thanks, it's lighter weight now. The back of my mystery part is mesh. It doesn't show in the pic thou. It's really had me stumped.
