Battery rapidly loosing charge.

Just went to 5 different retailers here in Brisbane and was told to throw it out.. None of them would open it or could replace the battery...I think this model is out of production.

Hi, It is out of production, but if you try places like Ebay you can pick up a new battery for around $18-$30. Just make sure you have the tablet's 'exact model number' to get the right one.

Then you can fix it yourself. If you like the tablet this is a cheaper option than buying a new one. Your call

Hint : If you don't have a 'pry tool' to open the case try using the corner of an old credit card. Being plastic it will not damage the case as does a metal tool. A purpose made 'pry' tool which is also available on Ebay is easier to use obviously.

Why does it say I need a new case back? Does the procedure destroy the old one?

The one shown isn't the same as mine—the lens hole is on a short side (shown) instead of a long side (mine). That makes me wonder if the rest is accurate for my unit, which has CE0168 on it, just like the one shown.

According to Settings>General>About Device, I have an SM-T520. Will these steps still work?
